Precautions for waterstops





First, tear off the outer paper and install it directly on the surface of the concrete gap. Install cement nails every one meter and firmly fix them to the concrete to prevent deviation. At the same time, install the water stop strip and surface firmly. Install the joint again, overlapping the top and bottom. Finally, insert the sealing strip into the groove and pour cement to ensure that the gap is filled.
1. Construction process of expansion waterstop: First, reserve the installation groove for the waterstop in the concrete; Remove the pouring concrete formwork and clean the surface; Next, place the sealing strip in the pre reserved groove. If there is no reserved groove, it can be fixed with adhesive or cement nails; Pouring concrete; During installation, it is important to prevent cement from being contaminated or disturbed by water, as this may affect subsequent use.
2. Precise construction and installation of rubber waterstops, the most crucial of which is the rubber waterstop. We know that rubber waterstops are partially or completely embedded in concrete during the pouring process. Because there are many sharp stones and sharp steel bars in the concrete with rubber waterstops, during the pouring and tamping process, the pouring and tamping pressure is used to prevent puncturing the waterstops. Because the breaking and tearing strength of plastic and rubber is 3-5 times lower than the tensile strength, if the rubber waterstop is punctured due to water swelling, it will significantly reduce the ability of the product to resist external forces. Therefore, special attention should be paid during construction.
3. How to use the expansion sealing strip when encountering water: First, wait for the gaps at the construction site to harden and dry, and then clean the top. Before construction, remove the packaging of the water stop strip and fix it with nails or glue along the direction of the gap to prevent displacement; Finally, connect the expansion waterstop when encountering water, trim the two waterstops that need to be connected, press them by hand after connection, and then fix them with cement nails.1、 The waterstop should not be exposed to sunlight for a long time, to prevent rain, and not come into contact with highly polluting chemicals.
2、 During transportation and construction, prevent mechanical and steel damage to the waterstop.
3、 During the construction process, the water stop must be reliably fixed to avoid displacement during concrete pouring and ensure the correct position of the water stop in the concrete.
4、 The methods for fixing the waterstop include: using additional steel bars for fixation, using specialized fixtures for fixation, and using lead wires and templates for fixation (as shown in the figure). If perforation is required, it can only be installed at the edge of the waterstop and other parts must not be damaged.
5、 When ordering, users should calculate the product length based on the engineering organization and design drawings. The irregular structure should have a drawing description, and try to connect the water stop as a whole in the factory. If on-site connection is required, electric heating plate vulcanization bonding or cold bonding (rubber water stop) or welding (plastic water stop) can be used.

4. The patching and bonding method is mainly aimed at the leakage of small holes and joints in the pipeline. A unified caliber pipe material is selected to longitudinally cut it open, and then the inner and outer surfaces of the pipe are roughened. After applying glue, it is tightly adhered to the leaking area.
